For advice on how to acknowledge country get in touch with traditional owners through your local land council, reconciliation group or Indigenous community organisations. Please note: Sometimes it is disputed that an appropriate group is the traditional owner of specific land, and where there is any risk of misnaming the appropriate group when delivering an acknowledgment of country, no reference should be given any specific groups in that acknowledgment.
