Journal subscriptions

Members can subscribe to APS journals in two ways:

  1. During the membership renewal process. Members have the opportunity to start a new subscription, or continue an existing subscription using both the online and paper renewal forms.
  2. Outside of the membership subscription period, members can contact the following departments to subscribe:

    For Australian Psychologist, Australian Journal of Psychology or Clinical Psychologist contact the Membership team (membership@psychology.org.au).

    For all other journals, contact the Science and Education team (science@psychology.org.au).

Member subscription rates for 2010-11

Australian Psychologist and Australian Journal of Psychology

  • Members receive a hard copy of either AP or AJP as part of their membership, as well as online access to both journals. Members can choose to receive a hard copy of both journals for an additional $57.50 p.a.

Clinical Psychologist

  • Members of the College of Clinical Psychologists: $26
  • Other APS members: $35

Australian Educational and Developmental Psychology

  • Members of the College of Educational and Development Psychologists: $21.80
  • Other APS members: $28.40; APS student members: $15

Australian and New Zealand Journal of Organisational Psychology (online only publication)

  • Members of the College of Organisational Psychologists: Free access as part of College membership
  • Other APS members: $33

Australian Journal of Counselling Psychology

  • Members of the College of Counselling Psychologists: Free access as part of College membership
  • Other APS members: $28.40

Copyright

It is the policy of the Australian Psychological Society to own the copyright to its publications, and to the contributions contained therein, in order to protect the interests of the Society and its authors, and at the same time to facilitate the appropriate reuse of this material by others.

Therefore upon acceptance of their manuscript for publication by the Society, authors will be sent a copyright transfer form to fill out and return to the Editor. Publication of the manuscript will be contingent upon receipt of the completed copyright transfer form.

Publications of the Society are distributed to various other publications for review and abstracting purposes. In addition, the Society has contractual agreements with various secondary publishers for the republication, in hard copy, microfilm or digital form, of individual articles and journal issues as a whole.

It is the Society's position that the abstracts that are published with its journal articles are indicative of and not a substitute for, the work as a whole; therefore, access services are allowed free use of these abstracts without securing the permission of the Society.

Enquiries about policy and procedures relating to permission to reproduce material published in the journal should be directed to the Australian Psychological Society.
